One of the most popular features of a Cadillac is cruise control. With Super Cruise currently featured on the 2018-2021 models, the 2021 Escalade is not left behind. Already a class leader, the 2021 Escalade offers features that keep their customers returning to Cadillac over and over. With the below features and alerts, Super Cruise is a game-changer in the auto industry.

Hands-Free Driving

When you set the cruise on your 2021 Escalade, you are all set and can relax your hands. Great for long trips and daily errands, hand-free driving can make your ride much more pleasant. Although you still need to keep your eyes on the road, you can feel safe knowing the Super Cruise feature connects to the different cameras and sensors around your Escalade.

The cameras and sensors on your Cadillac cannot be blocked or covered when using the Super Cruise. All of these must be in working condition and able to detect the traffic surrounding the vehicle. The Super Cruise will not operate without these features working and activated on your Cadillac.
Connecting to Other Cadillac Services

Connecting to your cruise map and other Cadillac Connected Services, your Escalade knows where to go once your destination is locked in. The Escalade is navigated with a map connection based on real-time traffic patterns and preferred locations to get you to your destination safely.
Features such as driver-assistance also aid in the Super Cruise feature. The following settings must apply:
  • Forward Collision System - ALERT AND BRAKE
  • Adaptive Cruise Control - On
  • Teen Driver - Off
Please note that these functions must be working, and the teen driver must be deactivated before you can utilize the Super Cruise function on your 2021 Escalade. Super Cruise is not available for teenage drivers who are gaining driving experience in your Escalade.
Driving on Compatible Roads
To get the full experience of Super Cruise, you should ensure that you are driving your 2021 Escalade on a compatible road. With over 200k miles in road compatibility, you can take major highways with ease, knowing that your Super Cruise knows what is ahead and how to travel the road. If you are looking for a compatible road near you, you can enter your zip code here or your traveling destination for nearby roads. Just put your location info in the search bar on the top right. These roads span the East Coast and even out West for the longer road trips you have planned for your family.
Steering Wheel Alert
Although you are operating hands-free, you should still pay attention to the road and be ready to take over the Cadillac when necessary. If your Escalade or other Cadillac model detects that you are not paying attention, they will send the first alert to get your attention in green light.
Should you continue not to pay attention or be alert to surroundings and not acknowledge the first alert, the bar will turn red. At this point, you may need to take over steering the Escalade. By the third alert, you will receive a message that Super Cruise is no longer operating, and you will have to take over full control of the vehicle.
