What Is Connected Services?
Connected Services is a group of different features that come with your Cadillac. Some of these features allow you to manage your Cadillac remotely. Others help you while you are driving, such as providing turn-by-turn navigation. A third set of features provides other great services, such as a wireless hotspot and maintenance diagnostics and reminders.
There are three different Connected Services plans. These plans allow you to choose the features that best fit your needs and lifestyle. Also, some of these services integrate with OnStar, which is GM's in-vehicle safety and security system.
What Does Connected Services Include?
Connected Services include many features. One set of features includes diagnostic and maintenance notifications. Vehicle Diagnostics monitors the key systems on your Cadillac and receives regular updates. If your Cadillac has an OnStar plan, you can also use On-Demand Diagnostics to have a service technician run a real-time remote diagnostic inspection. Also, Dealer Maintenance Notification allows your Cadillac to automatically notify your dealer when your Cadillac needs service. Your dealer will then contact you to schedule an appointment.
Another set of features helps your driving. One of these features is Cadillac Smart Driver, which analyzes your driving habits and provides suggestions on improving those habits. Additionally, there are several navigation features. Connected Navigation provides you with real-time traffic updates and fuel prices. It will also help you find nearby parking. Also, Cadillac offers Turn-By-Turn Navigation. By saying your destination, your Cadillac will download directions and give you vocal instructions for every turn.
A third set of features provides additional benefits for your Cadillac. These features help make your life more convenient and let you customize how you want to use your Cadillac. One feature is In-Vehicle App Access. This allows you to download apps directly to your Cadillac. Also, Cadillac offers a 4G hotspot for your vehicle. This gives you and your passengers unlimited access to WiFi while in your Cadillac.
Cadillac also offers several helpful remote controls through your myCadillac app. One is a remote key fob, which is a mobile app for your phone. You can lock and unlock your doors, flash your light, and honk your horn from your phone. Another is Vehicle Locate. This service not only lets you see where your vehicle is at all times but also allows you to set boundary notifications and receive updates every time your vehicle arrives or leaves.
What Plans Exist for Connected Services?
There are three different plans. The first plan is Connected Access. This plan comes with every Cadillac. This plan includes:
- Vehicle Diagnostics
- Dealer Maintenance Notifications
- Cadillac Smart Driver
- Marketplace
- In-Vehicle App Access
The second plan is Remote Access. This includes everything in the Connected Access plan and adds the following items:
- Remote Key Fob
- On-Demand Diagnostics
- Vehicle Locate
- myCadillac Skill for Alexa
The third plan is Unlimited Access. This includes all the features of the other two plans and adds:
- Connected Navigation
- Unlimited 4G LTE Data
- Turn by Turn Navigation
