Though there is no official release date for the new Cadillac EV, it is predicted to be released in 2022. This model will be competing with other luxury EV models like the Jaguar I-Pace, the Audi e-Tron, and the Mercedes-Benz EQ. However, Cadillac's iconic brand is likely to give it a boost over competitors.
The first look at this new vehicle hit the scenes at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show. It would be the first electric vehicle offered by General Motors, but as is tradition, automaker's luxury brands usually are the first to deliver new technology, with other brands following behind. The more advanced components of this new vehicle, like the drive units and the battery cells, are being designed and developed to provide maximum usability and will be used throughout GM's new electric product line.
