Steve Montanaro is the Executive General Manager at Sunset Cadillac Sarasota. For the past decade, he has been striving for the utmost quality in not just sales but also customer service. Steve is family-oriented and takes pride in his work. He bases his work and personal life on the values of integrity, gratitude, passion, knowledge, and accountability. These values were instilled by his father who himself took pride in the same things.
Montanaro is originally from Rochester, New York and grew up in an immigrant Italian family. He wasn't always in the car business and actually started out as a research analyst in New York. Searching for a change he decided to move down to Florida from New York back in 2004. A Cadillac dealership in Tampa was hiring, so he decided to take a leap of faith and apply. From his first day, he has loved his job working with Cadillac. Meeting many amazing people, the sales process and finding a way to make a deal work for the customer is what made him stay. Steve wants to go all out to treat people right and work his hardest because that is where the opportunity arises from.
His love for Cadillac stemmed from his father's personal dream to own one of his own. Now his goal is to provide the same satisfaction of owning a Cadillac that his father felt to countless people in the Sarasota area. Not only does he fulfill the needs of the customers he also takes the time to ensure a positive work environment for his employees. Steve's job is comprised of, but not limited to, the daily management of dealership, staff, sales, and accounting. His daily routine includes operational management, analyzing reports, advertising, marketing and making sure his clients are satisfied. He also loves coming up with ideas to shoot commercials and brainstorming social media campaigns.
What makes him excel at his job is the fact that every day holds a different obstacle to overcome. Steve seeks to make the average customer dream come true just like he did for his father. Each customer is like a member of his family, even though he may be occupied with work most of the time. He always makes time for family and even gives employee Sundays off to further illustrate his commitment to his values. His favorite pastime out of work is to spend time with his wife and three children who he loves very dearly. Steve is an avid football and soccer fan with his favorite teams being the Buffalo Bills and A.C. Milan. These are teams he has grown up watching and supporting since he was very young and enjoys watching sports with his own children. He isn't just a sports fan but also a player himself. He played soccer in high school and even tried out for the Olympic Development soccer team. His commitment to not only his job but his family is what helps him keep his business thriving and the customers happy.
